It feels like all I do these days are post heads-up notices on what's happening on why I haven't been around. I just bowed out of a game I was hardly active in, which brought me down to 4, so hopefully I can kind of refocus on where I'm at and try to get more involved. Truth be told I've been feeling really burnt out on life and the internet lately, but trying to come back and reintegrate myself, especially since there's some interesting plots happening around.
Work has been kicking me in the ass lately and that's no lie; I work the next 7 days in a row for Halloween weekend off, which is chockfull of parties and after parties. But I usually work morning shifts so I really will try to be around and if you see me, HEY. I'll do a thread! Just nudge. Sometimes I'm slow to respond, but that's most likely due to having Adium running in the background.
plus New Moon comes out in like 2 weeks omg.

If I wanted to catch up on DC in the last two years, specifically the Bat Family, Titans, and Green Lanterns, WHERE DO I START? I'm seeing they're in the midst of Blacket Night, which is apparently being all published in October in a 168pg book, so I can wait. Or that's Final Crisis? No it's Final Crisis. So I don't want wait. So there's Final Crisis, and um, The Legion 3 World Reboot---which leads to Blacket Nights, right?---and Batman's issue, also this Damien Wayne character...
WHERE DO I START :( and can I just get an online subscription.

I bought Leto's THE LONELY HEARTS the other night for $4 and skimmed it quickly last night. The cast is impressive---John Travolta, James Gandolfini, Selma Hayek---and the story line sounds fucking amazing, sort of THE BLACK DHALIA meets ROAD TO PERDITION. All 1920's era clothing, accents, cars, but add some murder and a Mexican woman? I was really stoked, guys, and then I, you know. Put it in. AND I WAS TERRIFIED. I skimmed, remember, but it looked TERRIBLE. Leto has a high receeding hairline in it, I hope it was a bald cap but knowing him he probably really did shave that off, and a skeezy stache. There's no sex or murder. They hint but do not show. A huge let-down.

I MET A GENTLEMAN-BOY WHO LIKES GOLDEN GIRLS! It was like sitting next to Wade Wilson minus the creepy cancer eaten face and murderous tendencies! Though I'm 99% sure he's PROBABLY a Marvel fan (versus DCU) because he likes cars and doesn't own a snobbish cell phone and, you know, has his v-card intact. Not saying anything about either, but he LOOKS like the type of boy who had Spiderman sheets.
AND HE IS AFRAID OF GHOSTS!

I need to cap Jared Leto in a movie for Kyle Rayner icons, but let's review his last couple films:
- Chapter 27 (2007) .... Mark David Chapman <--- Plays a fatty.
- Lonely Hearts (2006) .... Ray Fernandez <-- Costumes, with a moustache, and I'm sure he dies.
- Lord of War (2005) .... Vitaly Orlov <-- Druggie.
- Alexander (2004) .... Hephaistion <--- GAY GAY and wrong period of time.
- Panic Room (2002) .... Junior <-- Has corn rows and gets his face burned off.
- Highway (2002/I) .... Jack Hayes <--- Plays a gutterpunk in red pants. Also gets his feet broken.
Leto has no films that I can forseeably icon. So now I need a new pb :D LOGIC, I HAS IT.
fuck it, I don't have the attention span. Gonna go outside instead. I'll save this for a rainy day.
